VOCATIONAL LICENSE

 

TYPES OF VOCATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE
 

  1. Goods Driving License (GDL) may be acquired after attending a lecture or course and tests as may be determined from time to time.

  2. Public Service Vehicle License (PSV) may be acquired after attending a lecture or course and tests as may be determined from time to time.

  3. PSV Conductor's Permit (CON).

 

APPLYING FOR A VOCATIONAL LICENSE

 Required Documents:

 

  • Completed JPJL8A for Motorcars/Lorries or JPJL8 Form for Motorcycle GDL

  • Original Competent Driving License and its photocopy - required for Public Service Vehicle (PSV) and Goods Driving License (GDL)

  • Certificate of attendance (JPJL2C) at an approved Driving Institute for the required PSV/GDL/KON category. This certificate is valid for 1 year

  • Competency Test Certificate (JPJL12) for PSV/GDL/KON

  • Photocopy of National Identity Card

  • Endorsement from a Doctor (Part III of JPJL8A Form)

  • Age: PSV and GDL not less than 21 years Conductor's Permit (CON) not less than 18 years

  • Payment: RM20.00

 

RENEWAL OF A VOCATIONAL LICENSE
 

Required Documents:

  • Completed JPJL8 Form

  • Original Competent Driving License (CDL)

  • Valid Competent Driving License and expired Public Service Vehicle License

  • Endorsement from a Doctor

  • Payment as required


APPLYING FOR A CERTIFIED COPY OF VOCATIONAL LICENSE
 

Required Documents:

  • Completed JPJL8 Form

  • Police Report (for a lost license)

  • Photocopy of National Identity Card

  • Original Competent Driving License
