TAKING A DRIVE TEST


Taking Part I Test

       

        Requirements:

  • Test Card (JPJL3)

  • KBSM Certificate of Attendance from an approved Driving Institute

  • Payment of RM10.00

Note :

  • Successful Part 1 Test candidate will be issued a test results slip (valid for a period of 2 years) which qualifies him/her to attend a basic practical lesson at a Driving Institute.

  • The successful candidate is required to attend a 6 hour basic practical lesson before he/she can apply for a PDL license. A certificate of attendance (JPJL2B, valid for 1 year) will be issued after completion of the 6 hr practical lesson.

 

 Taking Part II & III Test

 

Requirements:

  • Test Card (JPJL3) showing candidate has passed Part I

  • Holding a valid Provisional Driving License (PDL) not less than 1 month from date of Part II & III test

  • Attendance record/certificate from Driving School showing candidate has successfully attended 16 hours of driving lessons

  • Payment of RM10.00 required if candidate is sitting for more than 1 classes, e.g.: Class B and D together.

 

Validity Period

 

Part I - 2 years

Part II & III - 1 year

Must pass Part II & III within 2 years from date passed Part I

Application for P-License must not exceed 1 year after date passed Part II & III. Otherwise candidate has to resist Part II & III.


 

16 HOURS PRACTICAL TRAINING MODULE TO COMPETENT DRIVING LICENSE MOTORCYCLE CLASS AND MOTORCAR (LIGHT AND WEIGHT)

 

 

All candidate for part I and part II at driving institute must learn practical driving not less than 16 hours before the allowed to sit practical test.

 

Practical training module is to get competent driving license for class below 

  • Motorcycle

  • Motorcars (light and weight)

16 hours module divide into 3 part training

  • Level  I (Basic practice) - 6 hours

  • Level II (Skilful practice ) - 8 hours

  • Level III (Pre-test) - 2 hours

 

For motorcycles class all part I, part II and III done at driving institute.

For motorcars (light & weight) part I and part III handling must be done at driving institute. Part II can do at driving institute or driving school.

Attendance certificate (JPJL2B) will separately expel  followed by class after student finished part I, after trained by driving institute instructor.
