Disfunctionality of Brakes

  • If a driver pushed the brake, he found out that the brake pedal drags.
  • Immediately pump up the brake in order to recover the pressure of the brake.
  • If you failed to do so, slowly pull up the brake, switch to low gear by using the engine compression power to slow down the vehicle.
  • But, if it is continuously failed to function when you up on a hill, or if the vehicle could cause dangers to the others, immediately go and search for the strategic place to slow down your vehicle for example the bushes alongside the road, rail (rel adang) and main carriageway.
  • Sound your horn or flash your lights to indicate an emergency condition.

 

Kenderaan Terbabas 

  • If your back side of vehicle terbabas, release the pedal immediately and pull up the brake.

  • Steer your vehicle according to the terbabas direction

  • Do not use brake in this situation 

 

 Stucked Clutch Pedal 

  • If the road is safe for you, try to pull up the clutch pedal which is sticking with your fingertip

  • If it is not working, off your engine and use the brake to stop your vehicle

  • Grip the steering firmly to avoid it from being locked when the switch off.

  • Park your car immediately at the safe place and repair the fault clutch pedal if you failed to contact mechanic.

 

BONET TERBUKA

 

·         Brek beransur-ansur

·         Naik ke atas bahu Jalan.

·         Lihat melalui tingkap untuk panduan dan berhenti memandu.

·         Sentiasa pastikan bahawa bonet itu ditutup rapat selepas kenderaan digerakkan.

 

Flat  Tyres 

  • Firm up your grip on your steering wheel.
  • If your back tyre burst, your vehicle will be unsteady which makes it turning to both direction; left and right.
  • Pull your brake slowly and gradually.
  • A sudden brake could cause your vehicle loss of control.
  • Slowly drive your car to the main carriageway which is on firm level surface and safe for you.
  • Do not change tyre at dangerous place.
  • Turn on your emergency flasher or put the other emergency tools so that the other road users alert on your difficulties.

 

Disfunctionality of Front Flasher

 

  • This will limit your vision. 

  • Grip your steering wheel towards the straight direction and immediately pull your brake carefully.

  • Drive to side of the road far from the traffic lane.

  • Stop your vehicle at once.

  • Turn on your emergency flasher. You are encouraged to use the safety tools to alert the other road users about your difficulties.

 

 

KENDERAAN TERBAKAR

 

·         Kejadian berlaku akibat litar pintas dalam system elektrik.

·         Hentikan kenderaan dengan segera.

·         Matikan sistem pencucuh dan arahkan penumpang keluar.

·         Buka bonet dan umpilkan wayar-wayar yang terbakar jika boleh.

·         Gunakan alat pemadam.

·         Sekiranya api tidak dapat dikawal, tinggalkan kenderaan tersebut dengan segera sebelum sebarang kejadian yang tidak diingini berlaku  dan minta bantuan pihak bomba

 

Emergency Stop on Highway 

  • Raise your signal and drive off the shoulder of the highway slowly.·        Turn on your front flasher dimly in the dusk, night and during the rainy day.·
  •  Turn on your emergency flashers and light inside of your vehicle.
  • If you stop at the kerb, on hill or dangerous place, ask your passengers (if any) to keep them off the moving traffic.

  • Make sure place your emergency tools within 5 metres away at the back pf your vehicle.

  • Raise up your bonnet and get some helps.

 

The Broken Front Rear View Mirror·   

  • Slow down your vehicle, take a look from your window and park your vehicle at the safe place.

  • Spread a blanket or cloth on the surface and place the pieces on it.
  • Protect your eyes by wearing eyeglasses.
  • Replace the broken mirror immediately.

 

Dealing with Car Accident

  • Low speed limit could decrease the impact. Drive to the left side of the road and drive away. Horn and turn on your front flashe  
  •  Do not turn right as the driver might get surprised and hit you
